Two Years, Three Wins: National Recognition for TEP

We’re proud to share some fantastic news – TEP Electrical Distributors has once again been recognised on the national stage.

At this year’s Electrical Wholesaler Awards in London, we brought home the Best Wholesaler: 1–5 Branches trophy, a new category for 2025. It follows last year’s double win and means we’ve now picked up three national awards in just two years.

That’s no small achievement for a single-branch, independent business here in Darlington – and it means the world to us.

Recognition built on people

Speaking after the win, our General Manager Sarah Marshall said:

“We’re incredibly proud to win industry awards for the second year running. It’s a real credit to our fantastic team and to the loyal customers who support us. To be recognised again at a national level reflects the consistency, care and integrity we bring to everything we do.”

On the night, Sarah was also invited to present the award for Best Customer Service (Brand) – a fitting recognition given how important service is to our values and the way we work.

Supporting the next generation

Awards are special, but what matters most is what happens day in, day out. Alongside looking after our customers, we’re committed to giving something back to our community and supporting the next generation coming into the electrical industry.

We continue to work closely with Darlington College, supplying products and sharing business insights with students on the electricians’ apprenticeship course. We’ve also seen first-hand the value of apprenticeships within our own business. Connor Dixon, who recently completed his Level 2 Customer Service apprenticeship with distinction, is now thriving in his full-time role in Sales Support – a great example of how investing in people makes a real difference.

Looking ahead

With more recognition on the way – including being shortlisted for the Electrical Industry Awards 2025 – we’re as committed as ever to delivering award-winning service for our customers while building on our local roots and family values.
